- (1888PressRelease) July 09, 2010 - The former Renaissance Salzburg Congress Center featuring 257 rooms will be re-branded in Q3 2010 and complement Rezidor’s 62-room Radisson Blu Hotel Altstadt, Salzburg. “We are delighted to strengthen our presence in Salzburg and to also extend our cooperation with our franchise partner Grand City Hotels & Resorts which will operate this new hotel”, comments Kurt Ritter, President & CEO of Rezidor. “This further Radisson Blu Hotel under the management of Grand City Hotels & Resorts also marks our arrival on the Austrian market where we see further potential”, adds Sven Doliwa, Vice President Commercial of Grand City Hotels & Resorts.
Salzburg is the fourth largest city in Austria, one of central Europe’s most enchanting tourist destinations and the birthplace of the composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Besides 257 guest rooms (including 11 spacious suites) the Radisson Blu Hotel & Conference Centre, Salzburg will offer 2 restaurants and 1 bar, and 1,750m2 of conference & meeting space - including a sub-dividable ballroom and a variety of meeting rooms to suit every need.
