Revitalized Jane H. Booker Women's Center Opens to Better Serve Women in the Community
Riverview Medical Center's newly removated Jane H. Booker Women's Center provides support for women of all age.
- (1888PressRelease) May 31, 2011 - Red Bank, NJ - Over the past few years Holmdel resident Jody PaPay, 41, has been to the Women's Center at Riverview Medical Center several times for different types of appointments such as her yearly mammogram, routine ultrasound, and most recently for an ultrasound-guided biopsy. Upon her most recent visit, Jody was blown away by the renovations at the Center since her last visit.
"The newly renovated Women's Center is simply amazing, with every detail in place down to the books in the waiting areas," says PaPay. "However, it's actually the staff, including the receptionists and all the nurses and doctors that make the Women's Center a truly special place."
The new Women's Center provides support for women of all ages, combined with the expertise to address preventive health, diagnosis, and treatment. Some of the changes to the Center include:
- A third imaging room and a third digital mammography unit with CAD, so that more women can be seen for their annual mammograms
- Expanded patient waiting room with views of the Navesink River
- Private changing area and lounge within the patient-only space
- New stereotactic biopsy equipment
- Dedicated area for Perinatal Institute and non-stress testing
- Dedicated area for imaging services
"The new Jane H. Booker Women's Center was built based on our patient's feedback," says Bokran Won, M.D., fellowship-trained, board-certified radiologist and medical director of the Jane H. Booker Women's Center at Riverview Medical Center. "We conducted a series of focus groups, asking our patients what they needed in their women's center and how they would build such a center. We're very excited that this new Center exceeds our patients' expectations even further in creating a tranquil and beautiful environment that matches the exceptional clinical care we provide."
