  • Colorado Springs, CO (1888PressRelease) February 05, 2013 - Eunice Kinrade, registered nurse and administrator of Colorado Assisted Living Homes, LLC, announced that the residents of assisted living homes Littleton and other homes of Colorado Assisted Living had a few mind-diverting outside trips in the month of January. The idea of these trips was to help them relax after the fun-filled enjoyment that they had with the other residents and their own family members during Xmas and New Year. Since the seniors in these homes are patients suffering from dementia related disorders such as Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, disorientation, memory loss, stroke, etc., periodic reminiscing activities and events help them in reenergizing their physical and mental conditions, Eunice observed.

Eunice stated that the latest event that the seniors of residents of Colorado Assisted Living Littleton homes and other homes of the organization attended the 107th year celebration by National Western on January 19. The show, National Western Stock Show was held at National Western Complex, 4655, Humboldt St, Denver, CO 80216 between January 12 and January 27. The Stock Show attracts people not only living in the state of Colorado but also thousands of others from nearby states, since it is one of premier shows on horse, stock, and rodeo. Eunice observed that the seniors of the assisted living Littleton homes and others of Colorado Assisted Living animatedly watched the show, remembering the days when they rode horses proudly.

Another event that the elders of Colorado Assisted Living homes attended was the Dream Factory Skiing Adventure Film held on January 11, 2013 between 6-00 pm and 9-00 pm. The Wildlife Experience organized the event in its premises at 10035 S. Peoria Street, Parker, CO. The film focused on the adventurous skiing activities of Teton Gravity Research (TGR) team, who visited Alaska to ski through the vast expanse of Alaskan ice regions, landed on virgin mountaintops and skied down the slopes with great skill and excellence. This film revived the memories of the senior residents of assisted living Littleton homes about their own skiing experiences in the past.

One more event that assisted living Littleton home residents thoroughly enjoyed was the RV Adventure Travel Show, which was the 23rd annual show of Progressive Insurance. The event was organized between January 9 and January 12 at Colorado Convention Center, 700 14th Street, Denver, CO 80202 and the seniors attended the event on January 11. This prominent RV travel show offered details on latest 2013 RVs like truck campers, lightweight tent trailers, Class A motorhomes, and fifth wheels. Even though the seniors of assisted living Littleton homes might never drive these vehicles in the Rockies of Colorado, they definitely have done that in their past and the show helped them discuss their individual experiences with other members of the Colorado Assisted Living homes.
