  • (1888PressRelease) March 20, 2016 - Dr. Neera Singh ,Associate Professor in the area of Human Resource Management and Organization Behavior published a conceptual paper on Rethinking Organizational Effectiveness: Creating a link between Psychological Contract, Work Consciousness and Emotional Labour. It also requires to understand the relationship between the employee and employer which has undergone lot of changes.

    She said "The study aim is to know how an employee connects with an organization. The relationship moves across from the preview of mere social and legal contract to defining the mutual expectation and obligation between the employee and employer called psychological contract. Surveys were done in Baroda and Ahemdabad in different small scale manufacturing units to understand the psychological contract .It was further found that the a better managing of this Psychological contract influences the effectiveness of employees productivity and thus enhances their commitment . A conscious worker `s performance will have more ownership of work and self motivation. This would help the organization to thrive and prosper with their innovative business models".

    The stiff competition and uncertainty in today`s industries was the inspired the author to understand the changing work behavior of the employee and the employer. The study also hints to differentiate between "productive employee" and "employee enhancing productivity" of an organization.
