  • San Jose, CA (1888PressRelease) February 21, 2012 - RemodelWest took Second and Third Place for this kitchen remodel located in Saratoga, California. The second place award was given for the Large Kitchen category and the third place award was given for Before and After.

    Some features of this kitchen are:
    -Red Birch cabinetry supplied by Crystal Cabinets
    -Live Edge Wood top for the bar counter
    -The ceiling detail where a recessed light box existed
    -Raised dishwasher

    One of the biggest changes from the existing plan was the integrated pantry. Because of the awkward angle of this kitchen, there was a tricky corner that required some strategic planning. In the existing kitchen the double oven was located in this spot. In the new plan, designers, Sarah Spiroff and Kirk Goodere planned for a walk-in pantry area to hide the angle.
