Remodel West Designer Kelly Funk receives industry green building certification

RemodelWest continues to take strides to becoming very knowledgeable in the growing field of green building. Owner Bill Reid has obtained certification and many employees are currently under way to become certified. Kelly Funk, a long standing key team member of Remodel West, has been attending the training and working towards her certification. End Quote

San Jose, CA (1888PressRelease) January 11, 2009 - A rapidly growing segment of the remodeling industry is sustainable design and construction practices better know as green building. Remodel West is enthusiastic about how the industry can help the world and the quality of their clients lives.

As a big step forward, owner Bill Reid has requested all staff to attend training in this area. Build It Green, a Bay Area non-profit has become the leader in green building and has put together a comprehensive program to train all types of professionals in the construction industry. Once completed with this program and passing the test individuals receive the Certified Green Building Professional or known as CGBP credential. They can then begin practicing all the elements of green building.

Kelly Funk, an employee at RemodelWest aka Cupertino Kitchen Design has been with the company since 1996. Kelly’s responsibilities include designing remodel projects for the company which specializes in residential remodeling for kitchens, baths, additions and new home. We are pleased to announce that Kelly Funk has received the CGBP certification. “I am excited about the knowledge I have gained and the materials that can be used” says Funk.
