Remington College will again provide free back-to-school haircuts through its Cuts for Kids program
Remington College is again offering free back to school haircuts through its Cuts for Kids promotion. Remington College has provided more than 13,000 free haircuts through Cuts for Kids.
- Orlando, FL (1888PressRelease) July 08, 2015 - The cost of getting kids ready to go back to school adds up quickly - school supplies, clothes, shoes, maybe a new backpack. That's why Remington College is again offering free back to school haircuts through its Cuts for Kids promotion.
Throughout the month of August, all Remington College cosmetology programs are providing free haircuts to kids 17 years of age and under. More than 13,000 children have received free haircuts since the beginning of the Cuts for Kids program.
In addition to helping students, Remington College also wants to help local schools. Throughout August, Remington College student salons will be collecting school supplies for local schools. Anyone who brings in a donation - pens, pencils, notebooks, etc. - will receive a complimentary haircut, manicure or pedicure. That means mom or dad can get a free salon service while their kids are getting their free haircuts.
"Cuts for Kids provides a great way for our campuses to give back to the local community," said Jack Forrest, President and CEO of Remington College. "It's a great opportunity for us to help families save some money on back-to-school costs, as well as give our cosmetology students additional hands-on experience with clients."
The Remington College Cosmetology Program takes a hands-on approach to teaching students the art of hair, skin and nail care. Cuts for Kids allows students, under the supervision of instructors, to have the opportunity to work with real clients in a salon setting. The program is available at ten Remington College campuses: Baton Rouge, Houston (two locations), Cleveland, Mobile, Lafayette, Dallas, Nashville, Columbia (South Carolina) and Honolulu.
