Remington College Sends Hundreds of High School Students to Prom in Style
Remington College recently wrapped up its third annual Prom Night Makeover promotion, providing nearly 700 complimentary salon services to high school students.
- (1888PressRelease) July 07, 2012 - The goal of the Prom Night Makeover program is to help students look and feel their best without having to spend a lot of money on what can be very expensive salon services.
Remington College campuses with a cosmetology program participated - Baton Rouge, Cleveland, Columbia (South Carolina), Dallas, Houston, Houston Southeast, North Houston, Lafayette, Memphis, Mobile, Nashville and Tampa.
A total of 690 complimentary services were provided across the country, which included up-dos, manicures, pedicures, makeup and haircuts.
Staff and students in the Remington College Cosmetology Program provided the services.
"Our students have now helped more than 2,000 high school students with free salon services since we started Prom Night Makeover," said Dr. Mike Lanouette, Vice President and Chief Academic Officer for Remington College. "Our students love helping kids look their best and it's an important part of our mission of giving back to our local campus communities."
Remington College's Cosmetology program teaches students the art of hair, skin and nail care through traditional classroom instruction and hands-on training in Remington College School of Cosmetology, which allows students to work with real clients.
