Remington College Dallas Campus Receives Accreditation for its Pharmacy Technician Program
Remington College Dallas Campus has received accreditation from the American Society of Health-System PharmacistsŪ (ASHP) for its Pharmacy Technician Diploma Program.
- Dallas, TX (1888PressRelease) October 18, 2013 - The ASHP is a nationally recognized non-profit pharmacy association that has been accrediting pharmacy technician training programs since 1983. The group says this about its rigorous accreditation process:
"Accreditation shows that you have undergone a peer review process and offer a didactic, laboratory, and experiential training program that meets contemporary employment needs and is the absolute highest quality for the public's safety. It shows you are committed to excellence."1
"We're very proud of achieving ASHP accreditation," said Skip Walls, Remington College Dallas Campus President. "Our current and future students can be confident that our program meets a nationally recognized standard of excellence."
According to the ASHP, several state Boards of Pharmacy require ASHP-accredited pharmacy tech training, and both pharmacists and employers prefer to have students from ASHP-accredited programs.1
The Remington College Pharmacy Technician Diploma Program is designed to teach students the basic skills needed for their certification exam and to help gain entry into the pharmacy technician career field.2
According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of pharmacy technicians is expected to increase by 32% from 2010 to 2020.
