Remington College Cosmetology Programs Send Hundreds of High School Students to Prom in Style

Orlando, FL (1888PressRelease) March 27, 2014 - Prom season is just around the corner and Remington College is again giving high school students the opportunity to look their best for the big dance - and it's all free.

For the fifth year, Remington College will hold its Prom Night Makeover event. Instructors and students in Remington College cosmetology programs will provide students headed to prom with free updos, manicures, pedicures and makeup for girls; guys can get a haircut.

Last year, Remington College provided more than 550 complimentary salon services; that brings the total number of services provided to more than 2,700 since the program began.

"We know salon visits are an important part of prom for many students, but they can be extremely expensive," said Dr. Mike Lanouette, Vice President and Chief Academic Officer for Remington College. "Prom Night Makeover allows high school students to have that experience for free, and its great experience for our cosmetology students."

Each Remington College campus with a cosmetology program participates, including Baton Rouge, Cleveland, Columbia (South Carolina), Dallas, Houston Westchase, Houston Greenspoint, Houston Webster, Lafayette, Memphis, Mobile, Nashville, Tampa and Honolulu.

Remington College's Cosmetology program teaches students the art of hair, skin and nail care through traditional classroom instruction and hands-on training in the Remington College School of Cosmetology, which allows students to work with real clients.
