The Opera Siam has been bringing the art of Opera to Bangkok for several years with the help of President Somtow Sucharitkul and Vice-President Thaithow Sucharitkul. The company has been previously honored with a Royal Patronage from HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra and continues to be known as one of the finest Opera Companies in Asia.
Among their list of accolades, Bangkok Opera was the first to introduce a Thai-language production by Bruce Gaston's children's opera, originally created for the young HIV children of Baan Gerda in Lopburi, and performed by children with the Siam Philharmonic Orchestra as backup. Rembrandt was proud to host this Gala Dinner event at the Rembrandt Hotel Ballroom with proceeds going to charity.
