  • (1888PressRelease) November 09, 2012 - Grins restaurant, a certified kosher restaurant on the Vanderbilt University campus, provides a nice option for Jewish diners in search of a good lunch. It will also provide a learning experience to religious communicators on Nov 14th who will visit to enjoy a meal and receive an education on what it means to be kosher.

The Religion Communicators Council (RCC), the longest running interfaith association of religious communicators in America, provides opportunities for members of various faith traditions to learn from one another and to stay up-to-date on communication techniques so they may continue to spread the good news. In recent months, Nashville's chapter has visited a Sikh Temple and Friends Meeting Place to learn about each of these faith communities. Chapter President Rev. Brian Fesler says they plan to continue visiting other churches, mosques and temples in the coming year. "It is important for religious leaders and communicators to branch out and make friends with members of other traditions, and we love providing opportunities for that," he says.

Nashville's RCC chapter will be at Grins on the second Wednesday in November from 11:30 - 1pm and will hear from Ari Dubin who works with Grins and will explain about the Jewish tradition and what it means to be kosher.

For more information about the RCC or its upcoming meetings, visit www.religioncommunicators.org/nashville-chapter. The RCC provides opportunities for religion communicators to learn from each other. Together, RCC members promote excellence in the communication of religious faith and values in the public arena and encourage understanding among religious and faith groups. Faith groups represented in the Nashville chapter include Judaism, Baha'i, Scientology, Methodist, Baptist and others.
