This time they are giving back to those professionals that educate the youth of Polk County. The Polk county teacher of the year will be crowned on February 9th, 2016. This year's winner will be selected out of well over 9,000 employees, 170 Nominees, and 10 finalists. These stellar educators work extremely hard all year long. Being crowned "Teacher of the Year" is an enormous honor and Regal Lakeland Automotive Group is proud for the third year in a row to be participating in this event. This year's teacher of the year will not only receive the title of "Teacher of the Year" for Polk County, they will also receive a brand new car courtesy of Regal Lakeland Automotive Group.

In celebration of the winner Regal Lakeland Automotive Group will be throwing a reception at their Chevy dealership at 7:00pm on Friday February 12th. At this reception Regal will unveil her/his new car to the recipient of the "Teacher of the Year" award. The reception will feature music, food, and refreshments. In addition to the winner, Regal Lakeland Automotive Group has invited their class, school's principal, district superintendent, all of the Nominees and their friends and families, as well as school board members, and many of the active members of the Polk County community to enjoy the festivities and mark this very special occasion.

Teachers and school-related employees were nominated by their individual schools. Judges were from local businesses and organizations and included former award winners and finalists. They reviewed more than 200 nominee applications and did not know the nominees' identities or the schools where they work. Teacher and school-related nominees completed applications that listed attributes that included leadership and professional development activities, community and school involvement and teaching style.
