Sam Rockaway shared perspective on how to be successful in business.
- Newark, NJ (1888PressRelease) January 07, 2025 - Sam Rockaway, Vice President of Sales at REDCOM Design & Construction, was recently interviewed on the ‘Lead at the Top of your Game’ podcast. REDCOM specializes in commercial design-build engineering, architecture, and construction.
In conversation with host Karan Ferrell-Rhodes, Rockaway shared insights spanning his career. Rockaway explained that the ability to travel extensively in one of his roles “…really opened my eyes to the world and opportunity, and to see how other businesses ran.”
When asked how to keep sales up when dealing with long sale cycles, Rockaway noted that it’s a relationship business. “You really need to build trust, perform impeccably well…and they [potential clients] will call you back,” said Rockaway.
Rockaway spoke on his customer-first approach, explaining that “without a customer there’s no REDCOM.” He clarified how success comes from putting the customer first, even if it means not closing a sale. “I try to lead by example.”
