Michael Beasley has worked on over 35 films in the last five years, he is also currently on the only African American recurring cast member of the Starz original series Magic City, which takes place in 1959 Miami Beach, FL. In addition to Magic City, Michael has just finished filming the Lifetime remake of Steel Magnolia that has an all-star cast including Jill Scott, Phylicia Rashad, Queen Latifah, Alfre Woodard, and Condola Rashad. Currently taken the industry by storm Michael is set to start filming his very first production this fall and will release it through his production company Isis Ra Films (pronounced "Eye-sis Ray).

Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Michael caught the acting bug several years ago, when his father, John Beasley, came to Atlanta to perform in Kenny Leon's production of "Jitney," at The Alliance Theater. Michael played professional basketball, mainly overseas (Puerto Rico, Argentina, Dominic Republic, Chile, and Mexico). He knew he couldn't play basketball forever and decided to reinvent himself as an actor. He decided to pursue his acting career full time in 2005.
