Experts and industry players noted countries that have better access to electrical and electronic equipment find themselves increasingly faced with the problem of managing electronic products at the end of life.

The agenda of the meeting was to focus on the importance of recycling, which offers interesting perspectives and a second life to electronic equipments.

Members of the meeting concluded on the fact that a lot of recycled electrical and electronic equipment can be used for the manufacture of other products to deal with environmental challenges.

Ms. Wafa Katir, Executive Director of the Global Research Centre (French North Africa Section) stated that exponential production of equipment for access to information technology around the world was due to the huge consumption of ICT and the repercussions are.

They stated that nearly 500 containers of electronic and electrical equipment are unloaded monthly in Nigeria, which represents a great danger to the environment and the local population and concluded on the need for active IT recycling.
