Recruitleads publish the latest job figures as scraped by their recruitment software.
(1888PressRelease) January 12, 2012 - Leading recruitment software firm Recruitleads has just released data for November and December on all its UK jobs leads. The company's innovative software scrapes and aggregates data from all the major UK jobsites. As a result, Recruitleads are uniquely placed to provide a snapshot of the current UK jobs situation.
At the top of the scale, the finance sector had presented a total of 75,685 job leads. The next leader was the Pharmaceutical industry, with a total of 46,350 job leads identified for the same period. Accounting was also strongly represented, with just a few thousand less leads at 41, 346.
"There is still certainly a great deal of movement within the financial sector; by and large this sector is still offering a very wide range of positions. However, problems elsewhere in the euro zone will have an inevitable adverse effect. As a result, you can expect a higher degree of competition, among candidates and from companies expecting high levels of service from the recruitment companies they use. Many recruiters use our software to efficiently identify job leads which will genuinely dovetail with their candidate's profiles. This means they are then presenting employers with only those who represent a more ideal fit: employers and candidates alike appreciate this precision"
Just over three and a half thousand leads were also generated within both Information Technology (IT) and within Public Relations (PR). Following these industries, the next most active category was Engineering at 25,361.
"These are again the type of highly skilled sectors where a good match between the job specifications and candidate profiles is going to be crucial. There is a tremendous volume of data to process and again, it must all be done quickly and accurately,"
21,003 leads were identified for candidates in the Restaurant sector, with a further 16,882 found within Food Service. Customer Service leads had actually fallen behind Food Service, standing at just 12, 132.
"Customer Service roles were at a lower ebb during these months, but then again there is always some fluctuation due to 'disruptive' effect of the Festive season. In the case of Restaurants and Food Service, there will have been the question of appropriate certification (such as Food Hygiene and so on). Recruiters will have had to not only find the leads very quickly but then efficiently identify which of their candidates already had that training,"
Towards the lower end of the scale, leads within the Public Sector stood at just under 5,000 and are not widely expected to rise due to austerity measures in the year to come. The smallest number of job leads was actually found within Human Resources, standing at just 333 for November and December.
