Record Number of Jobs Advertised in January
According to recruitment software provider, Recruitive, January saw a record number of job vacancies advertised via its cloud based multi-posting software.
- (1888PressRelease) February 12, 2016 - At almost 9% higher than the previous record of October 2014, January's figures stood at an impressive 45% higher than those of December 2015. The number of permanent jobs advertised increased by 41% compared to December, and the number of temporary jobs advertised more than doubled.
Richard Clarke, Managing Director at Recruitive comments: "The number of candidate applications received in January also increased by 41% compared to December which is a 9% increase compared to January 2015."
According to research from Investors in People, nearly half of the UK workforce will be looking for a new job this year, as the economy improves. Richard continues; "This would explain the increase in the number of applications and also why we have seen a rise in the number of enquiries from employers looking for help managing high volumes of applications.
