In his new role, James will be in charge of strategic and long-range planning for Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties, as well as overseeing the daily operations of its five residential real estate brokerage sales offices, which include a sales force of more than 400 agents, and the company's commercial operations.
"We are very fortunate to have someone with Mike's vast experience as an award-winning agent, manager and senior executive," said Greg Macres, executive vice president of the western region for NRT LLC, the parent company of Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties and Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. "Wherever he's been in his career, he's proven to be a resounding success, especially in the luxury end of the real estate market."
As a manager for more than 20 years, James has overseen some of the top-producing offices in the nation, including two branches in Silicon Valley - Los Altos and Saratoga - that ranked among the top 10 in the nation for Coldwell Banker Real Estate and had sales volume of more than $1 billion a year.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage recruited James in 1998 to manage its San Jose Main office. Over the succeeding years he was tapped to manage offices in Morgan Hill, Los Altos, and Saratoga, which he helped expand and grow into one of the top 10 brokerage offices in the U.S. for Coldwell Banker.
Prior to entering the real estate industry, James served in the Air Force and operated several small businesses in Southern California and Lake Tahoe. This experience helped him develop strong leadership and financial skills, which served him well as an agent, manager and executive.
