REACH Chosen as One of the Top Nonprofits to Work For in Oregon

Portland-Vancouver, OR-WA (1888PressRelease) October 05, 2011 - REACH Community Development, a Portland-based nonprofit that provides affordable housing for individuals and families, has received high honors from OregonBusiness magazine's "100 Best Nonprofits to Work For in Oregon" project for the third consecutive year. This year, REACH was named the second best nonprofit in the state of Oregon in the large organization category.

Based on the 100 Best rankings project, in 2009 OregonBusiness launched the 100 Best Nonprofits to Work For in Oregon project to recognize nonprofits as key businesses critical to the economic health of the state, which employ thousands of Oregonians. More than 5,500 employees from 170 nonprofits throughout Oregon participated in this year's survey which evaluates a variety of categories including work environment, management and communication, career development and learning. Registered nonprofits with a minimum of ten employees were eligible to participate.

Being a great place to work is just as important to nonprofit organizations as it is to for-profit companies. And REACH is no exception.
