RCEC And HBAGC Team Up With Touchdown For Homes To Host Golf Outing Benefitting Operation Finally Home

Chicago, IL (1888PressRelease) June 16, 2012 - The Residential Construction Employers Council (RCEC) along with the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago (HBAGC) have teamed together on a golf outing to promote Operation Finally Home.

The event, being held on June 21st at the Highlands Of Elgin, will feature 18 rounds of golf, dinner and exciting activities. Skydivers from Team Fasttrax Skydiving Team from Middletown, Ohio will kick off the evening's festivities with a parachute jump followed by an American flag reception. The highlight of the event will be the awarding of a new home from Operation Finally Home to a wounded veteran. Several families who are under consideration to receive the home have been invited to the outing. Submissions are being evaluated and the recipient of the new home will be revealed after dinner.

Operation Finally Home is an award-winning program created in 2005 to support U.S. troops. The non-profit organization's mission is to provide mortgage-free homes to wounded and disabled veterans and the widows of the fallen. The group partners with builder associations such as HBACG along with builders, developers, corporate sponsors, individual contributors, and volunteers to help severely wounded heroes and their families transition from the battlefront to the home front.

Retired NFL players also will be on hand at the outing as part of the Touchdown For Homes program, which is a nationwide charitable outreach partnership between the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA). Around the country, NFL players are teaming up with local homebuilder associations and loaning their star power to events to help raise awareness for urgent causes. This is the second event in which Touchdown For Homes has collaborated with HBAGC.
