  • (1888PressRelease) October 28, 2011 - MIAMI - Raptorfire launched on Oct. 24 an exclusive modchip that delivers higher performance for all first-person shooter games on Xbox. The breakthrough chip design drastically improves shooting speeds, and how many bullets are fired per second.

    Master Mod RapidFire has six adjustable modes that increase firing speeds up to 30 shots per second and a seventh, exclusive-perk mode:

    Dropshot modes and sub-modes, in which the player can drop and shoot at the same time.

    * Jitter mode and sub-modes
    * Active reload for Gears of War 2 & 3
    * Adjustable fast reload for all Call of Duty games
    * Round burst of 2 to 5 shots, with user controls
    * Quick-scope, which holds the sniper's breath and shoots at same time, eliminating the time delay of the steady period.
    * Zombie mode Auto-Aim

    The flex-board chip is in production and immediately available to modding companies, says Raptorfire president Alex Golubev. Installation takes only 5 to 7 minutes. The ease and speed of installation reduces labor costs and creates opportunities for new companies by eliminating the need for staff with extensive experience on installations, he said.

    "The modchip boosts controller performance in ways never seen before," Golubev said. "It's a must for players of first-person games such as Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3 and Gears of War 3."

    The menu system allows players to switch modes and pre-set classes in live-game play, he said. An LED color system identifies the mode for user-friendly customization.

    The modchip and modes also eliminate the use of the "Sync" button, which has confused players on how to activate a modchip, Golubev said.

    "Players used to think that 'Sync' served one purpose: to connect the controller to the console," he said. "This is eliminated using Rapidfire. You don't have one green light showing different functions. You have different colors telling you what mode you are in."

    The modchip was heavily tested before shipping, said Golubev, who is also president of GamingModz. The flex-board design makes the modchip less likely to break when the controller case is re-closed or under user pressure.
