Randolph High School senior recognized as scholar-athlete by Parsippany-based communications firm

Randolph, NJ resident Alexis Gihorski was recently awarded a New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) scholarship sponsored by SCG.
Each year, SCG supports a high school senior who excels on the playing field and in the classroom with a scholarship. A student-athlete is chosen to receive the scholarship at the annual NJSIAA Scholar Athlete Luncheon.
Over 1,400 people attended the twenty-third annual Scholar Athlete Luncheon to honor NJSIAA's scholar-athletes. This year, Gihorski was among 217 high school students from across the state to receive a combined total of $172,000 in scholarships.
Gihorski, a leading member of the girls' varsity track and field team at her high school, will use the SCG scholarship to supplement her education costs at the University of Pittsburgh.
