Originating from the Sunday Roast, a traditional British meal served on Sundays (usually in the early afternoon for lunch), it consists of roasted meat, roast potato together with accompaniments, such as Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, vegetables and gravy. Popular throughout the United Kingdom, It is believed this tradition arose because bakers could not bake bread on a Sunday, so their ovens would be used to roast meat.
Raffles' Roast goes back to perfecting classics and enjoys a wide selection of hot and cold starters and fresh salads to accompany the carving station, which comes with all the traditional trimmings, to suit the weekly selection of roasted joints: Yorkshire pudding, two types of stuffing, gravy, bread sauce, Cranberry sauce, etc… Signature weekly desserts include the apple & blackberry crumble, bread and butter pudding, baked rice pudding, Eton mess, Sherry Trifle and Bakewell tart.
