Mission Critical Focused Real Estate Firm Relocates Into Very Unique Digs.
Dallas, TX (1888PressRelease) February 09, 2010 - Rackhouse Group (www.rackhouse.com ), a mission critical real estate services firm, today announces that it has relocated its headquarters in Dallas to the rooftop of one of the city's most historic buildings. Rackhouse now occupies a three story building that sits atop the roof of the ten story Southside on Lamar building. Sears Roebuck and Company originally constructed the one and a half million square foot building in 1914 to serve as their first distribution center outside of their Chicago based headquarters location. In 1993, Sears closed its regional office, due to consolidation, and vacated the complex. Matthews Southwest Corp. bought the buildings and redeveloped the complex as "Southside on Lamar." The building now houses retail and loft apartments.
"We are so fortunate to have found this gem of a location that we can call our home" said Martin Peck one of the founding Partner's of Rackhouse. He went on to say, "Our views are incredible, the downtown Dallas skyline outside our front door, the sun setting over Fort Worth outside our back door." The three story rooftop building now occupied by Rackhouse probably once served as the maintenance shop for the Sears operation. Rackhouse has added their own style with stained concrete floors, Southwestern rugs and a unique combination of art and functional office furniture.
On behalf of their customers, Rackhouse focuses exclusively on identifying suitable and secure data center space across the USA. Peck added "We wanted to create an office environment that is unique to Rackhouse but yet comfortable for our customers who are mainly technology oriented. You definitely have to throw Rackhouse into the "coolest office in town contest."
