RAC Helps Cargill Manage Winter Driving Risk With Workshops And Car-Sharing
Food Manufacturer Launches Car-Sharing And Winter Driving Initiative. RAC Helps Customer To Reduce Carbon Footprint And Improve Employee Well-Being.
- (1888PressRelease) November 10, 2010 - FOOD manufacturer Cargill is enjoying the benefits of an RAC initiative to reduce its carbon footprint and improve employee well-being this week.
Manchester-based Cargill is running a car-sharing week for employees and on-site contractors from November 8, 2010. The event is part of Cargill's corporate social responsibility programme.
Marcus Noble, head of RAC Risk Management said, "Car-sharing is a highly effective way of improving staff relationships. It also helps to reduce road congestion and fuel consumption. It's especially relevant at this time of year when staff are less likely to walk or cycle to work."
During Cargill's car-sharing week, on November 8 and 11, RAC safe driving expert John Davidge is holding free winter driving workshops for staff at the company's Trafford Park offices. Every member of staff taking part in a workshop will receive a free warning triangle for their car and they will be entered into a free prize draw to win an RAC Safe Driving course.
