Rabits & Romano Architecture, Planning and Design on winning design team for Banco do Brasil
New Orlando bank wins major design honors in South America.
- Orlando, FL (1888PressRelease) October 31, 2014 - Rabits & Romano Architecture, Planning & Design handled initial design and construction management for the first branch of Banco do Brasil Americas in Orlando.
The design for the building was a collaborative effort from the corporate design team of Banco do Brasil in Brazil and the local architectural firm of record Rabits & Romano which adapted the conceptual project to meet local codes and methods of construction, coordinating efforts with the corporate design team to have a building that represents Brazilian architecture which is also adapted to the climate and needs of Central Florida.
Partner Fulvio Romano, a native of São Paulo, Brazil, said, "To play a role in winning a prestigious award is wonderful. To have this honor for a company from my homeland is absolutely outstanding."

Banco do Brasil Americas soon to open a branch in Orlando won the Building Prize in the bank category at one of the largest architecture events in South America, the XI Grande Prêmio de Arquitetura Corporativa. The award ceremony took place in São Paulo, Brazil on September 3. This prize honors Banco do Brasil Americas Orlando project, which incorporates modern engineering and architectural design.
Banco do Brasil Americas plans to open a 4,000-square-foot branch at 5403 International Drive in early 2015. It will operate as a full-service branch with a wide range of high-quality banking products and services. It will cater to clients in three languages: English, Portuguese and Spanish.
