Quality Swimming, Inc. to Hold Development Swim Meet
Next Development swim meet will held by quality swimming on Saturday 20th Nov 2010 at Coconut Creek with grand opening of warm ups pool for swimmer as well as family.
- (1888PressRelease) November 19, 2010 - Quality swimming will hold its next Developmental Swim Meet on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at our Coconut Creek location, 5601 Regency Lakes Blvd. The meet will begin at 2 pm, with the pool opening for warm-ups a half hour before the event. The cost to compete is $10 per swimmer; or $20 per family.
"These meets are a lot of fun and they help young swimmers learn about goals and motivation," said Andy Broido, owner of Quality Swimming, Inc.
Developmental Swim Meets are an introduction to competitive swimming. Any child in Levels 4 or Super Waterbus II and above is encouraged to participate. This is an opportunity for all swimmers to show their skills to parents, grandparents and friends.
All swimmers will receive an award the first time they swim an event. Improvement Ribbons will be awarded to any swimmer showing improvement over their best recorded time at a Quality Swimming Meet. Medals will be given when a swimmer accumulates 15 and 40 ribbons and a trophy will be given when a swimmer accumulates 75 ribbons.
Events at the meet will include freestyle, backstroke, breast stroke, butterfly and individual medley. There are separate boys and girls events, with each gender having age designations. There are races for ages 4 and under; 5-6 years old; 7-8 years old; 9-10 years old; and ages 14 and under. This is the seventh and final Developmental Swim Meet that Quality Swimming, Inc. has hosted in 2010.
