QMS Win Sustainability Award At The Notty Awards 2023
QMS, a Devon-based road surfacing and line marking company, was awarded the ‘Sustainability Superstars’ at the inaugural Notty’s awards ceremony in November.
- (1888PressRelease) January 10, 2024 - The Notty’s Business Awards took place at Winslade Manor, Exeter, in November. Local businesses from across the region came together to celebrate business success. The judges, including, Karime Hassan MBE, Michael Dart & Dr Sally Basker, passed assessments on all who had been nominated.
Since it was founded in 2001, QMS has been creating and supplying more sustainable solutions for road surfacing and line marking across the county.
In 2006, QMS Hyperline, a system that replaces the use of harmful and high-energy consumption across strategic networks, reduced the environmental impact by 82% compared to conventional road line marking methods.
Not only has QMS come up with a wide range of environmentally friendly alternatives to road marking and surfacing solutions, but the company also regularly does their bit for the environment and the community using a range of electric vehicles that can carry all of their equipment, survey the network at traffic speeds and more.
Greg Clark, Managing Director of QMS, had this to say about the award: “Since 2001, we have been fortunate to secure many awards from within our industry for innovation, health & safety and well-being. All of these have been achieved with the commitment, motivation and determination of my team to achieve success.
“This latest award is even more special as it not only is recognition for our total commitment towards sustainable delivery but we were recognised amongst all business sectors, not just within our industry.
“The competition was high, and I mean REALLY high! Over 350 nominations for 15 awards, so to collect the award on the night, put a massive smile on my face!”
