- (1888PressRelease) January 26, 2014 - BE Summits is proud to announce that one of their most exclusive Summits, the 'GCC Future Rail Summit' to be held on the 11th & 12th of March, 2014 in Doha, Qatar, receives the official endorsement & support from Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company, w.e.f the 13th of January, 2014.
Qatari Diar Real Estate Company was established in 2005 by the Qatar Investment Authority, the sovereign wealth fund of the State of Qatar. Headquartered northeast of capital Doha, Qatari Diar was entrusted to support Qatar's growing economy and to coordinate the country's real estate development priorities.
One of Qatari Diar's flagship project is Lusail City, which has a comprehensive plan for establishing a network of light trains which will connect the various districts. These trains will connect to train networks which Qatar and other Arab Gulf countries plan on building in the future. The train network will have low energy consumption, supporting Qatar's vision for continuous development and ensuring the project is environmentally friendly. The network is composed of four main tram lines extending over 30.5 kilometres underground and over ground and 36 passenger stations. In the southern part of the city, a 5.5 kilometre underground railway is under construction, joining various residential districts across the city and serving the Marina, Energy City and Qatar Entertainment City.
