Q3 signs a contract with a Southern Europe based Telecommunications Company
Q3 Technologies has signed up a contract with a Telecommunications Company based in Southern Europe to develop a native iPhone application. This iPhone application would enable the user to place and receive phone calls over WiFi or 3G networks using VoIP.
- (1888PressRelease) May 10, 2011 - Voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) synonymous with the term internet telephony is a technology which deals with the transmission of voice over the internet and other networks which use packet switching. VoIP technology basically converts our voice which is in the form of analog audio signals into digital signals. These digital signals are in the form of 0's and 1's or the language which is understood and interpreted by the computer and can be transmitted over the internet.
An iPhone application using VoIP would enable users to make long distance telephone calls over the internet using their handsets. Users can easily make and receive calls over the internet at a cost much lower than the traditional telephone calls. Features such as call forwarding, call waiting, conference calling, caller ID, voice mails, automatic redial etc are available free of cost.
The only requirement for Voice over IP (VOIP) is a high speed broadband connection. This can be through a cable modem, or high speed services such as DSL or a local area network. The dynamic features of VoIP incorporated into a mobile handset would indeed be very useful.
Use of VoIP in an iPhone can help in reducing the phone bills to a great extent. One can easily transfer inbound calls from a regular cell call to WiFi instantly and seamlessly, thereby, saving the expensive minutes of the user. The VoIP apps for mobile application development are really effective. The VoIP is most suited for the businesses that are looking to have reduction in toll charges over internet and get easy handling on their multi-located business.
Q3 Technologies, a leading offshore software development company will use its expertise and experience to develop an iPhone application through which users can place and receive calls over the internet using a revolutionary technology known as VoIP. It will provide the users with greater flexibility at a reduced cost. Users will have the advantage to make calls over the internet at any time and place using their handsets. The only requirement is a good internet connection.
