Pyramyd Air debuts new full-auto airguns

- (1888PressRelease) March 07, 2012 - Warrensville Heights, OH - The new line of airguns was introduced at the 2012 Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show in Las Vegas, where the guns were shot at 200 yards and proved to be extremely accurate.
Evanix is a well-known Korean manufacturer of precharged pneumatic (PCP) repeating airguns that are typically used for hunting. Most repeating airguns are neither semi-auto nor full-auto -- but the Speed, Conquest and Max have both functions. Available in .177, .22 or .25 caliber, the air rifles are stocked in sepatia, which is Indonesian walnut. Speeds vary from 910 fps for the .25-caliber guns to 1,310 fps for .177 caliber. Each airgun comes with two 10-round pellet magazines, a 7-cell rechargeable battery and a battery charger. Double magazines (20 rounds each) and additonal 10-round mags are available.
All three airguns have the same mechanism but different configurations. The Conquest has a large 400cc air tank that delivers as many as 55 useful shots before requiring an air refill. Smaller air tanks (290cc) are fitted to the Speed and Max and deliver approximately 40 useful shots before needing a refill. The guns are filled with either a scuba tank, carbon fiber tank or hand pump. The Speed and the Max use a fill probe, and the Conquest uses a fill adapter to connect to an air fill source.
Switching between full-auto and semi-auto is done with the flip of a switch. The gun also has an on/off switch. When turned on, the gun is ready to fire, but there's also a separate fire/safe switch in case the shooter isn't ready to take the next shot but doesn't want to turn off the auto-fire mechanism. A fully charged battery pack delivers up to 500 shots.
Reception by airgunners has been nothing short of phenomenal for all three Evanix airguns, with some people buying one of each. The full-auto era for airguns has finally arrived!
