Amazon Kindle app developer and world-renowned crossword writer release word game on Android Marketplace.
- San Diego, CA (1888PressRelease) September 06, 2012 - Puzux, LLC, a boutique developer of word games and puzzles apps for the Amazon Kindle device, has announced the release of its first Android game, Turbo Crosswords. The new app, developed by Puzux and Myles Mellor, world-renowned crossword writer, takes traditional crossword clues and transforms them into a fast paced trivia game with levels, points, "lives", hints, bonus screens and disqualifications.
Turbo Crosswords aims to combine the traditional world of crosswords puzzles with the fast paced world of arcade and trivia games. It features over 500 crosswords clues divided into 10 difficulty levels for the free LITE version, and +1500 clues and 30 levels in the PRO version. With surprise bonus levels, Turbo Crosswords provides a challenging environment to test your general knowledge and your ability to think and react quickly - the perfect fun game for any crosswords lovers and trivia games fans.
"We're excited about the opportunity to work with one of America's most talented crosswords writers, Mr. Myles Mellor," says Guy Rotberg of Puzux. "According to a survey we conducted, a vast majority of the people who use their mobile device to play word games are unsatisfied with current crossword apps available to them these days. We have worked hard to process the issues users have mentioned to translate the traditional crossword puzzle into a fast paced and challenging game that fits the world of mobile apps today."
Turbo Crosswords is the first app released by the Puzux team of UC Berkeley Haas School of Business MBA graduates, headed by Managing Director Guy Rotberg, a veteran entrepreneur with past experience in both China and the US web arena.
"I have been working with the Puzux guys for a while now," says world-renowned crossword writer, Myles Mellor. "The Amazon Kindle apps we developed together were a great success and I believe that Turbo Crosswords for Android can mark the beginning of a series of apps that cater to crosswords solvers AND to the younger generation who is constantly looking for new ways to use their mobile devices.
