Public Sector Industry Veteran Brian Douglas Joins Carousel Industries to Drive Collaborative Telehealth Offerings
Carousel Industries announces the appointment of Brian Douglas as business development director in the public sector.
- (1888PressRelease) October 08, 2013 - Exeter, Rhode Island - Carousel Industries, a leading integrator in business practices and technologies, announced the appointment of Brian Douglas as business development director, public sector, Carousel Industries. Douglas, who will report to Senior Vice President of Sales James R Marsh III, will be responsible for managing Carousel's customer solutions for state and local governments, education, and medical systems. Douglas will also play an integral role in driving Carousel's telehealth solutions in conjunction with its leading manufacturer and services partners.

Before joining Carousel, Douglas was national business development director for Polycom, where he focused on the government, education, and healthcare markets. Apart from his strong business development record, Douglas brings a wealth of clinical sales knowledge to Carousel including nearly a decade of clinical sales expertise involving surgical and medical devices from manufacturers including Stryker, Kyphon, and Medtronic.
Prior to his role at Polycom, Douglas served as the program design group manager for AMD Global Telemedicine. In this role, he managed the sales, training, and implementation of telemedicine systems across North America, engaging with industry leading video conferencing manufacturers including Polycom, Tandberg, and Cisco.
In his new role at Carousel, Douglas will support the company's sales organizations with new public sector offerings, each of which will leverage his broad experience in video. "Carousel has a clear advantage in its ability to provide solutions for the public sector, considering its vast expertise in networking, data, security and other critical areas," says Douglas. "These technical disciplines represent the foundation of our offering, and I look forward to working with each of our product managers to create extremely targeted solution bundles for our customers."
