  • (1888PressRelease) May 25, 2016 - The event was arranged and aimed at supporting children in over-populated cities around the world.

In cities such as, Delhi - India, Tokyo - Japan, Shanghai - China and São Paulo - Brazil, there are many children without food, water, shelter and family.

There are many charities around the world supporting children but unlike any of these, the charity event organized by PSI Research had serious focus on building strategies to support the children with more than just very basic needs.

A number of housing developments in these cities have had various plots allocated to volunteers wanting to help the children, they are fully funded by a number of small charity groups that have the backing of very successful companies such as PSI Research.

These developments, that can house up to 700 children offer more than shelter, it is a place where they can eat, clean, learn and children can be entered into a schooling program lasting anywhere between 1-3 years.

With various targets in place to lift populations around the world out of poverty, every hand of help takes us closer to this goal and the event held by PSI Research generated over $6.2 million USD, almost double the amount the company raised the year before.

Ross McAllister, Head of Global Trading said, "It's a pleasure to be part of any charity, however, one that sustains the lifespan and longevity of children's lives, education and wellbeing, well, that's a whole different kind of charity. These projects are aimed at preserving life first, then making that life worth living, sanitation, shelter, education, all the basic needs that we in the first and second world, take for granted should be made available to all children, the world over. It's a very rewarding sight to see a child who two or three years ago couldn't speak, was malnourished and abandoned, in a school uniform, polished shoes, lunchbox and sitting at a desk, reciting the alphabet and doing their mathematics, that to me is priceless. Long may I continue to be a part of such a rewarding project."

Russell King, Head of Private Clients added, "It is extremely emotional to see the standards in which these children live, with no family or lasting support. I have always had involvement with one charity or another but to now be in a position whereby our company and clients and all associates can lend a helping hand, the results speak for themselves. We have nearly doubled the capital we raised last year due to the how much we have grown as a company in that short time, I thank everybody for all the efforts involved."
