Prudential Opens New Branch To Serve Growing Needs of Penang
Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad (PAMB) officially unveiled its latest branch in the northern region. Located at Bayan Baru, this will be the fourth Prudential branch to be opened in Penang.
- (1888PressRelease) August 28, 2014 - Occupying 2 floors of One Precinct along Lengkok Mayang Pasir, with a total built up area of 15,844 square feet, the Bayan Baru branch will be able to serve the needs of more Penangites especially customers living on the Southern part of the island.
Its other three branches are located at Seberang Jaya, Wisma KWSP and Wisma Prudential along Cantonment Road.
Commenting on the grand opening of the branch held earlier today, Philip Seah, the company's Chief Executive Officer said: "Penang is a very important market to us and the latest addition of the Bayan Baru branch is a testament to our growing customer base here. Prudential expanded its operations to Penang island in 1966 and since then we have grown from a handful of agents to over 132 agency leaders and more than 1500 agents."
The addition of the Bayan Baru branch is made even more significant as PAMB celebrates its 90th anniversary this year.
It is equipped with 3 training rooms with a combined capacity of 175 people and houses an agency outstation office which serves as a mobile work space for agency leaders who are not based in Bayan Baru to continue their day-to-day work with ease while meeting with their agents.
For the financial year ended 31 December 2013, the insurer's total new business Annual Premium Equivalent (APE) sales - including both conventional and Takaful insurance sales - was RM1.04 billion, with Penang branches contributing over RM104 million to the overall performance.
