PRStreet Takes The Gold At RPRS Sir Walter Raleigh Awards
Campaign for Encaff Energy Stix Takes Top Award in Category.
- (1888PressRelease) July 01, 2010 - Cary, NC - PRStreet, the Triangle's award-winning marketing and public relations firm, has added another trophy to its collection. The agency was awarded a Raleigh Public Relations Society (RPRS) Sir Walter Raleigh Award for Excellence in Communication. PRStreet won the Gold Award in the category Promotional Campaign for a Product, Program, Topic or Issue for its promotion "The Caffeinator Takes Manhattan", a promotional event for Encaff Energy Stix. The awards were presented at the RPRS annual awards banquet at the RBC Center in Raleigh on June 29.
"It is always a complement when your work and efforts are recognized by your peers," said Graham H. Wilson, president and founder of PRStreet. "There were a great group of winners this year, so it's great to be among that list."
The entries were judged by a group of public relations professionals in Florida. Entries were judged on criteria that evaluated objectives, method, results, creativity, quality and budget.
The winning promotion involved having a 12-foot tall robot character, "The Caffeinator," walk the streets of Manhattan while free samples of the Encaff Energy Stix were handed out to members of the public. The campaign resulted in a sharp spike of hits on the Encaff website, as well as television and newspaper coverage. PRStreet commissioned the character from an artist and performer in Virginia, and arranged for it to appear in New York City. It visited Good Morning America, Fox & Friends, CBS Early Show, Times Square and Wall Street.
The Sir Walter Raleigh Awards are the oldest awards recognizing North Carolina's public relations industry. The RPRS was founded in 1959.
