    PrimeLocation.com is launching the 2011 Property Blog Awards at http://www.primelocation.com/property-blog-awards/2011/ to celebrate the best UK bloggers writing about homes and property and this year and extra five categories.

    The awards, which are in their third year, are now open for nominations across nine categories including Best Blog, Best Blog Post, Best Newcomer and Users' Favourite Blog, which will be put to a public vote. Five new categories have also been added: Best Garden Blog, Best DIY Blog, Best Eco Home Blog, Best Estate Agent Blog and Best Interiors Blog.

    The winner of the Best Blog will win £250 worth of John Lewis vouchers while winners of the other categories will receive £100 worth of vouchers. To nominate, post on the PrimeLocation.com UK blog at http://www.primelocationblog.com/uk/property-blog-awards-2011-opens-for-nominations or email editorial ( @ ) primelocation dot com before the end of play on 5th December 2011 dot
    The winners for all categories will be selected by a panel of judges including PrimeLocation.com experts and external writers, the only exception being the Users' Favourite Blog award which will be put to a public vote to begin on 6th December 2011.

Each year we receive such a strong response to the awards with over 1,200 nominations last year. We feel that it is important to recognise bloggers who provide such a unique view on property and community as well as developing rich and diverse content about owning, selling, renting and decorating homes."
    Blogs can be nominated for multiple categories and bloggers can nominate themselves or be nominated by someone else. The deadline for nominations is 5th December 2011 after which votes for the Users' Favourite Blog award begin, ending on 31st December. The winners for each category will be announced in early January 2012.

    Previous winners of the awards have included a wide selection of blog types, including personal blogs, journalists, interior designers and estate agents. Updates of the 2010 winners from the last month will be posted over the next few weeks on the PrimeLocation.com blog.
