Project Management India Announces Funding Proposal
PMI Opens Call for Research Funding Proposals for 2013 worth Rs. 25 Lakh.
- (1888PressRelease) January 24, 2012 - Project Management Institute (PMI), the global premier project management advocacy body, is pleased to announce its 2012 request for proposals for 2013 research funding. The call for proposals opens on 1 February and closes on 25 April 2012. Those advancing to the second round will be notified by July 2012. All grant recipients will be notified of awards up to US $50,000 by November 2012. Funded projects begin on 1 January 2013.
Proposed research must have a direct application to any aspect of the project management body of knowledge or its practice. In addition, PMI encourages proposals on research involving multi-disciplinary teams of investigators or teams consisting of academics and practitioners, who bring new ways of thinking and related bodies of literature to the field. PMI's Academic Resources Department annually solicits research proposals on any topic related to project, program, or portfolio management, with funding provided to selected recipients. The organization looks for proposals from scholars both within and outside project management, including management, organizational psychology, sociology of formal organizations, education, linguistics and others. PMI has sponsored research projects since 1997. Since then, many of these projects have become research monographs, articles and white papers. Current and enduring research materials are available to PMI members at no cost.
