Professional Marketing International Hosts Clothing Drive, Subs For Santa
Professional Marketing International announces the results of its annual clothing drive and company wide Sub for Santa drive. Each year PMI employees partner with the company to provide Christmas for needy families and clothing for the homeless.
- Salt Lake City-Ogden, UT (1888PressRelease) January 11, 2011 - Throughout the month of December, Professional Marketing International held a clothing drive to help those in need during the holiday season. Utah winters often bring with them bitter cold, so PMI spent the whole month collecting new and gently used items to donate. PMI also coordinated a Sub for Santa program with employees, pledging to match as a company whatever total amount employees donated.
"The holidays can be a tough time for a lot of struggling families. Not only can the weather be brutal, but many families are trying to put together what Christmas they can with limited resources," said Phil Smith, President of PMI. "And even though these are hard economic times for everyone, our employees were extremely giving and generous."
During December, employees brought in clothing donations and were able to donate a portion of their paycheck each week toward the Sub for Santa program. After a few weeks, it was clear both the clothing drive and the Sub for Santa would be a success.
On Christmas Eve, PMI brought more than 20 bins and garbage bags - each stuffed to the brim with clothing donations - to the The Road Home in Salt Lake City, Utah. And when all was said and done, PMI was able help 38 families in the area.
"Each year our employees answer the call to help give back to the community and, as always, they've been able to make a huge difference to a lot of people," Smith said.
