Product Design Firm Initiates the 2014 Design Marathon - Now Open for Entries

New York, NY (1888PressRelease) December 10, 2013 - Vertex product Development Inc. is running an experiment we call "Design Marathon". We will choose three products out of all entries that will win at no cost a product spec and conceptual development offering from our design team. We ask product manufacturers who are on the verge of developing a new product or just starting with the design process to submit their product for consideration.

What Do We Offer?

We will pick the winning product which we would like to work on and will invest the time needed to generate 2-3 design concepts at no cost to the winning manufacture within two weeks*.

In order to have a constructive and relevant conceptual development phase, we will start working with the winning team on our typical Product Specification phase which will also be at no cost.

At the end of the process, we will have a full scale presentation showing our proposed design to the winning team. After the presentation, if any of our proposed designs are chosen to be developed, we will ask to be the development and engineering team for subsequent phases of development. If none of our proposed designs are acceptable, we will try again if requested.

We will sign an NDA with any firm who is submitting a product to this program and all correspondence will be kept confidential. We will pick one product to get the first two phases (Product Specification & Conceptual Development) at no cost to the manufacturer and the two runners up will get the same but with only one proposed design concept within a week*.

We are very proud of our design process and the amount of successful product launches we were involved with. We are especially proud of the amount of repeat business we had due to this success. So in order to add one more potential client who will come to us again for new product development, we are willing to offer this program. As mentioned before, this is an experimental program and a risk we are willing to take if you trust our design and development skills.

What's In It For You?

In a typical design and engineering program we go through 8-9 phases of development depending on the product and client needs. With this Design Marathon we offer you the first two phases of development, which are the the most important, essentially at no cost. If after we present our concepts, you choose not to use any of them, you are free to go and work with another design team. If you are going to use any of our designs and choose to continue the development with us, you still get the first two phases at no cost to you, and we will gain a happy client.

Who can submit a product for this program?

Any manufacturer of products who is about to start on a new development of a new or improved product.
You are a company, not an independent inventor.

The new product you are developing is in the medical, industrial, commercial, consumer, semiconductor or any other industry. Please review our Work Portfolio page to see the type of products we worked on in the past. (no soft goods or fashion products will be considered)

How to Enter?

In order for us to review your product please send us an email titled "Design Marathon" and we will reply back with an NDA. If you have an NDA you wish us to sign we can do this as well. Once the NDA is signed, we will ask for you to send us any relevant information about the product, ie. picture of similar products or other products you manufacture, what was done to date and above all, we would schedule a face to face conversation or a conference call (Skype, Google Hangout, gotomeeting etc.).

This program is designed for new product development initiatives starting the first quarter of 2014. We will consider and review any entry, and the deadline for submission is January 13 2014.

Final decision of the three product we will select will be on February 7th, 2014.
