Atlas Biomechanics, a woman owned small business developed and now manufactures a totally new type of heel lift, The Triple V Heel Lift. This new heel lift, The Triple V Heel Lift has Varus/Valgus and Variable height adjustments. The Triple V Heel is made up of three removable rubber layers, three mm thick with a suede top cover. The removable layers allow for proper correction of the short leg in a limb length discrepancy. The Triple V Heel Lift also has removable panels to allow for varus or valgus correction of inversion and eversion of the subtalar joint. Most patients with a short limb, the calcaneus is compensated in an inverted position. By allowing for varus and valgus modification, the patient is better stabilized.
