Tropicalaser of Long Island Supports National Breast Cancer Month
Tropicalaser of long Island dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer.
In recognition of National Breast Cancer Month, Tropicalaser of Long Island, a leader in affordable Laser Hair Removal, participated in a fund raising event hosted by the Alph Epsilon Phi Sorority of the Long Island University @ the CW Post Campus. The funds were distributed to a philanthropy called Sharsheret. Sharsheet is a national non-profit organization serving the unique concerns of women with breast cancer.

The organization was founded by Rochelle Shoretz, a former Law Clerk to United States Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, after her own diagnosis at age 28. The organization recognizes that the concerns of pre-menopausal women facing breast cancer are unique. Their cancers tend to be more aggressive, may result in early menopause, and are associated with higher mortality rates.

Sharsheret was named a recipient of the New York State Innovation in Breast Cancer Early Detection and Research Award, and selected as a member of the LIVESTRONG Young Adult Alliance. Although October is designated as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Tropicalaser is dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer both on a national level and a local level throughout the year.
