Primorska Audit Company joins Russell Bedford network in Bulgaria
Russell Bedford International accounting group appoints Varna-based Primorska Audit Company as its second firm in Bulgaria.
- (1888PressRelease) February 18, 2011 - Primorska Audit Company, a specialist financial audit practice based in Varna - Bulgaria's third city and largest seaport - has been appointed as a member of Russell Bedford International's Bulgarian national network.
Whilst focusing on the provision of independent auditing services, the firm also offers accounting services and financial and tax advice.
The firm's clients are mainly private companies, state and municipal companies and organisations that have received investment loans from agencies such as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The firm has three partners, all of whom are Certified Public Accountants, Registered Auditors and Members of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Bulgaria.
Iliya Iliev, the managing partner, has more than 15 years' professional experience. Having gained a Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Economics in Varna, Iliya began his career as an accountant in industry and became a manager in a financial consulting firm before taking on his present role at Primorska. He has extensive experience as a lecturer in accounting and auditing at the University of Economics, Varna, and at the Varna Free University. He participated in technical working groups on the development of legislation and the establishment of the accounting profession in Bulgaria. He has been chairman of the Varna regional organisation of the Institute of CPAs and a member of the managing board of the Institute.
Marian Nikolov has been a partner and auditor with the firm since 2001. He was previously an auditor with another local audit practice. He has a Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Economics, Varna. He has lectured in Accounting at the same university and at the Varna Free University. He is currently Chairman, and was previously Secretary, of the Varna regional organisation of the Institute of CPAs.
Valentina Nikolova has some 10 years of professional experience. She became a partner and auditor with the firm in 2003. She too has a Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Economics, Varna, and has participated in technical working groups on the development of accounting and auditing in Bulgaria.
