Primera Energy Wins Eagle Ford Excellence Award
From social investment to employee safety, Primera Energy wins recognition from its peers for good corporate citizenship.
- San Antonio, TX (1888PressRelease) January 07, 2014 - On Dec. 11 the South Texas Energy Economic Roundtable (STEER) awarded the 2013 Eagle Ford Excellence Award to Primera Energy. The Inaugural Eagle Ford Excellence Awards were, in the words of STEER President, Omar Garcia, a way for "recipients to set the standard for good corporate citizenship." Primera Energy LLC, a Texas-bred energy company with a significant presence in the Eagle Ford Shale, was awarded for continued commitment to employee safety.
This recognition comes at a time of great excitement for Primera Energy, which has plans to drill new wells in the Eagle Ford this year. An increased number of wells means more jobs for Texans as well as more development in some of Texas's poorest counties. While Primera is projected to grow this year, the safety of its employees in the field remains a priority. Primera will continue to implement safety protocols while drilling the Eagle Ford, ensuring the health of its workers while tapping reserves of oil and natural gas in the Eagle Ford.
Primera was also considered as a finalist for the Community and Social Investment STEER Award. Primera Energy donates to charities such as the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Family Violence Prevention Services, the Boys and Girls Club, and the Special Olympics. Primera Energy is committed to being a good corporate citizen as it expands its prosperous business. Primera will continue giving aid to those in need while ensuring the safety of its most valuable asset, its employees.
