Preparations of Second 'Jal-Mahotsav' at Final Stage
Filled with gaiety, exhilaration and fervour, the preparations of second 'Jal-Mahotsav' Hanuvantiya are in full swing. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate the Jal-Mahotsav on December 15. The Jal-Mahotsav beginning from December 15 will be organized till January 15, 2017.
- (1888PressRelease) December 29, 2016 - Bhopal: Main attraction of the second Jal-Mahotsav will be the house boat being started at Hanuvantiya on the lines of Kerala. It may be mentioned that several facilities have been developed at the water sports complex Hanuvantiya for recreation of tourists. A sum of around Rs.5 crore has been spent on various development works including Food Zone (Kitchen, Restaurant), separate toilet facility for the tourists and drinking water and water cooler facilities. Moreover, sports ground for kids and swings are installed. A 200 meter retaining wall has been constructed around the cottage for security. Also swipe card arrangements have been made for the convenience of tourists and also board room was constructed.
Around 125 Swiss tents have been installed for the tourists in the second Jal-Mahotsav. Moreover, food zone, craft bazar and exhibition focusing Madhya Pradesh Tourism is being organized. All the security arrangements are being made at Boat Club. Moreover, information center is also being established in Hanvantia capus.
All the necessary preparations are being ensured to organize Jal-Mahotsav successfully. Secretary Tourism and M.D. Shri Hari Ranjan Rao while reviewing the arrangements of Jal-Mahotsav Hanuvantia directed the officials to ensure all the arrangements within stipulated time. Road shows were also conducted at New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and other cities for Jal-Mahotsav.
