Premier Physician Services Celebrates 25th Anniversary by Growing
Premier Physician Services is marking its 25th anniversary with a new company name, the addition of 7 new hospital sites to provide Emergency Medicine services, 2 new Hospitalist Medicine contracts, and a long list of new physician and mid-level providers joining Premier Physician Services.
- (1888PressRelease) May 06, 2012 - This year has already been a remarkable year of positive changes for Premier Physician Services. The company went through a total rebranding initiative, effective January 1, 2012. The company name was changed from Premier Health Care Services, Inc. to better reflect the core services provided. The new corporate logo is a more colorful, energetic representation of what Premier has to offer to hospitals and clinicians.
2012 is shaping up to be a big year for Premier from a growth perspective. Premier is proud to announce the addition of several new Emergency Medicine contracts. Through a partnership with Mercy Health, Premier began providing Emergency Medicine services on May 1, 2012, to 5 facilities in the Greater Cincinnati region: Clermont Hospital, Harrison Medical Center, Mt. Airy Hospital, Mt. Orab Medical Center, and Western Hills Hospital. For Premier, this partnership represents an additional 150,000 patient visits annually. The Mercy Health opportunities arose from a collaboration between Premier and over 30 physicians and mid-level providers, formerly with Quality Emergency Services Inc. Premier is a long-term partner to the Mercy system as Premier has provided EM services to Mercy Hospital Fairfield since 1997. With these recent additions, Premier will now staff 6 of the 8 Mercy Health Emergency Departments in the Greater Cincinnati area.
Premier is also proud to announce two additional Emergency Medicine services contracts. Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay, Ohio has chosen Premier to provide their Emergency Medicine services. This transition of services was effective as of May 1, 2012. St. Mary's Medical Campus - Ironton, Ohio has chosen Premier to staff its new state of the art free standing Emergency Department, which is slated to open in July of 2012. This campus is an extension of St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV, who has been a client of Premier since 2006. These two contracts represent an additional 60,000 patient visits annually.
The Hospitalist Medicine Division of Premier began services at Hocking Valley Hospital in Logan, Ohio and Morrow County Hospital in Mount Gilead, Ohio as of April 1, 2012. Both hospitals' Emergency Departments are currently staffed and managed by Premier and have been since 1996.
"Growth is good for a company in order to avoid becoming stagnant. While Premier is dedicated to growing our business, we will continue to focus on taking care of the needs of our current clients and their patients, states Dr, William Cole, Jr., CEO of Premier Physician Services." "Premier owes its success to the hospitals who have put their faith in us all these years as well as the employees of Premier and our physician billing office, MBI Solutions."
