Pradeep Goel Appointed Interim Enterprise CIO at Noridian Mutual Insurance Company
Consumer Health Technologies CEO to Lead Strategic Technology Initiatives.
- Fort Lauderdale, FL (1888PressRelease) April 29, 2011 - Noridian Mutual Insurance Company (NMIC) has appointed Pradeep Goel, a national expert in health care and technology innovation, to serve as Interim Enterprise Chief Information Officer. Goel, also the Chief Executive Officer for Consumer Health Technologies (CHT) based in Florida, has assumed this position effectively immediately.
"The addition of Pradeep Goel will help us accelerate the alignment of our technology capabilities with the needs of our internal and external consumers," said NMIC President and CEO Paul von Ebers. "This new structure continues the partnership between our company and CHT, expanding it to the strategic level. Pradeep's experience with Blue Cross Blue Shield companies in software and technology innovation brings us the flexibility to rapidly evolve our IT systems, rather than be bound by a core system or a specific vendor."
The CHT organization has served as a consultant and reliable partner to NMIC for several years, including the joint development and marketing support for NMIC's EXACT integration platform. Goel recently completed an analysis of NMIC's information systems, divisions and the information technology strategy. Goel will help NMIC migrate to an integrated enterprise-wide architecture to bring solutions to market that will increase member engagement, improve their experience and well being, deliver greater value to employers and achieve better interaction with the health care delivery organizations in various markets.
The partnership between NMIC and CHT has become stronger with this arrangement. "My focus is on organizing and empowering the NMIC IT organization to deliver strategic and tactical solutions for all our stakeholders-members, employers, providers and our business units," said Goel. "NMIC will be strengthening its consumer engagement capabilities, allowing more innovation and personalized services. That is an area of great interest and focus for CHT and for me personally. I'm excited about the unique opportunity to make a significant and positive impact in the lives of NMIC's consumers."
Goel will continue to serve as CEO at CHT, a consumer driven health care software company, and now also serves as the CIO for NMIC and its affiliate companies, including Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota. Prior to founding CHT in 2006, Goel co-founded Dakota Imaging, Inc which developed ground-breaking software specifically for the insurance industry whose primary product was in use by major insurance companies including 27 of the 39 Blue Cross Blue Shield companies across the U.S.
