PR Worx dominates at the 2012 PRISM Awards
Underlining its status as one of the best public relations companies in South Africa, PR Worx is pleased to announce that they have taken top honours at the 2012 PRISA PRISM Awards on Sunday night, 25 March 2012, winning eight awards.
- (1888PressRelease) March 31, 2012 - Now in its 15th year, the PRISM Awards recognise and celebrate excellence in public relations in the public and private sector, consultants and corporate communication environments. At this year's event, PR Worx was awarded three gold, one silver and four bronze awards.
The gold awards included one for PR Worx account manager, Kelly Webster as Best Up and Coming Public Relations Professional, one for crisis communications management for Qantas Airways relating to the Springbok flight incident, and the final gold for Best Event Management for the 2011 PlatAfrica Jewellery Design Awards.
PR Worx's Managing Director, Madelain Roscher notes that the multitude of awards won by the company offers evidence of its substantial success and growth.

Over and above the three gold awards, PR Worx also won in the following categories: Corporate Responsibility for Anglo American's Corporate Social Investment (CSI) campaign and the launch of Zimele's Green Fund; Corporate Communications for Anglo American's Local Procurement and Enterprise Development Trade Fair; Media Relations for driving Anglo American's CSI publicity; and Online Crisis Communications for Qantas Airways.
Roscher notes that a team effort was integral to the company winning the awards.
"Credit for these awards has to go to PR Worx's outstanding team, whose hard work, creativity, determination, innovative thinking, and personalised attention has allowed our company to attain demonstrable results for all our clients.
"Special mention has to be given to Kelly Webster, who won her award despite facing stiff competition from some of South Africa's largest PR agencies and corporate companies. Kelly is an outstanding young PR professional, and this recognition is surely only the beginning of an impressive career in public relations."
Roscher founded PR Worx in October 2001, and has more than 20 years in-depth public relations, communications and marketing experience. The company, which was recently independently voted South Africa's Best Public Relations Company by PMR Africa, has a broad client base, ranging from the financial and mining sectors, to the travel and tourism industry, to the lifestyle and franchise sector.
Roscher concludes that the awards will spur PR Worx on to greater heights.
