- (1888PressRelease) March 10, 2013 - LOS ANGELES, CA- The new Woman of Influence Jumpstart Program from PR Expert, Entrepreneur and Speaker Lisa Elia, teaches female entrepreneurs and experts how to quickly increase awareness of themselves or their businesses, through publicity, public speaking and other methods. Elia, who has over 20 years of experience as a publicist and business owner, will share her knowledge during a full-day intensive at a luxury hotel on the west side of Los Angeles (the specific location will be provided at a later date) on Saturday, April 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and in three, one-hour stay-in-motion calls following the intensive. This program is limited to 12 women.
Participants in this program also receive Elia's new, multi-media program, Becoming Popular: How to Get Yourself Major Media Coverage. The Becoming Popular program includes instructions on how to write a press release, how to pitch to the media, how to write a compelling biography, media training tips and more. This program also includes videos of Elia's interviews with top TV and radio producers and magazine, blog and newspaper writers and editors, who share their likes dislikes and pitching tips. Elia will also share what she has done that has led producers and writers to call her for interviews in major media outlets that include Inc., Fox News, Us Weekly, Entertainment Tonight, E! Entertainment, and many others.
Participants in this program will learn what to include in an online press room, online speaker room and speaker one-sheet. They will receive instructions on writing a book proposal, a social media "cheat sheet", and much more.
"Many women entrepreneurs and experts have inspiring and important messages and fresh information to share with the world, and they need the right information and tools to help them spread the word in an impactful way," says the founder of Lisa Elia PR and Expert Media Training. Elia, who has helped many women business owners and executives to secure major press coverage, book deals, TV show deals and endorsement deals, provides these three tips:
1. "Consider what you have to add to the world conversation on the topics you cover. If you just want to repeat what everyone else is saying, no one will care, but if you bring your own special twist to it, you can be memorable to the media, speaking bookers, potential sponsors and others who can give you greater visibility and resources.
2. Think about what you want to attract and make it easy for people to find you and to know what you have to offer. This has never been easier: with do-it-yourself websites, Facebook and other social media, you can update your materials easily yourself. If you want to attract media interviews, for example, include an online press room on your website, and include video of yourself being interviewed by a friend, if you don't have anything else.
3. Remember that you only have one chance to make an impression on almost anyone in power, whether he or she is a member of the media, speaking booker or TV programming executive. Be sure that you have polished everything they will see, from your website to your materials, to your social media pages. They may look at all of them."
During the upcoming live intensive, Elia will dive into attendees' goals and create an action plan to get each woman on her path to publicity and achieving her other goals. She will also provide time-saving strategies to help the women get things done quickly and with ease and grace. On the subsequent interactive group calls, Woman of Influence JumpStart Program members are invited to ask questions and request Elia's feedback on their ideas or materials, to reinforce and implement the work that is done at the intensive and the work they do with the help of the Becoming Popular materials.
The fee for this program is $1,000. Registration closes on Wednesday, April 3.
